PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder which prevents occurrence of clear ink irregularity and dispenses with any large capacity memory without losing a process speed, and to provide an image recording method and an image recording program. SOLUTION: A CPU 8 is equipped with a program 10B for generating colored ink dot arrangement data for generating the colored ink dot arrangement data, a program 10C for calculating colored ink amount for calculating the amount of the colored inks in a specified print region comprising X×Y (X, Y are positive integers satisfying the relation: X×Y≥2) pixels from the colored ink dot arrangement data, a program 10D for calculating the clear ink amount for calculating the amount of the clear ink in the specified print region from the amount of the colored ink, and a program 10E for arranging the clear ink having two or more clear ink arrangement order patterns and switching the clear ink arrangement order patterns to arrange the clear ink dots within the specified print region when a preset specified condition is established.
