PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission apparatus which informs a communication apparatus of the arrival of data and transmits the data without the need for providing exclusive software to the communication apparatus. SOLUTION: The data transmission apparatus for acquiring: a plurality of data; and transmission destination information denoting respective transmission destinations of the data, and for transmitting the data on the basis of the transmission destination information includes: a means for acquiring metadata of the data; a means for particularizing a URI and metadata of the data associated with one transmission destination denoted by the transmission destination information; and a transmission means for transmitting information including the particularized URI and metadata and described in the XML to the one transmission destination.
