<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus and a communication control method capable of properly increasing a communication rate when it is not required to suppress an error rate lower by increasing a threshold value of a communication environment excellence degree while preventing the error rate from increasing due to an increase in the communication rate by an adaptive modulation system. <P>SOLUTION: A base station apparatus 10 is characterized in to include: a down communication environment excellence degree acquisition section 180 that sequentially acquires a communication environment excellent degree denoting excellence of the communication environment; a down communication rate and down transmission power control section 184 that sequentially applies threshold value discrimination to the communication environment excellence degree acquired by the down communication environment excellence degree acquisition section 180 and controls the communication rate depending on a result of the discrimination; a down error rate acquisition section 181 that acquires the error rate denoting a ratio of errors included in a reception results of data at the controlled communication rate; and a target communication environment excellence degree determining section 183 that revises the threshold value used for the threshold value discrimination in response to the acquired error rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
