PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection control device performing a processing of enriching an air-fuel ratio for causing to release nitrogen oxides from a storage agent while more suitably inhibiting torque fluctuations. SOLUTION: When switched to rich combustion control, a target air intake amount indicated by a dashed line in Figure 5(a) is reduced in a stepped manner and an opening command value of an EGR valve is increased in a stepped manner as indicated in Figure 5(b). The air intake amount gradually decreases and an EGR amount gradually increases in connection with this, and an oxygen amount flowing into a combustion chamber (cylinder inflow oxygen amount) gradually decreases.
