<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately reproduce signals even in the case of reproducing the signals by a signal recording and reproducing apparatus different from a signal recording and reproducing apparatus which has recorded by automatically adjusting an output level including the characteristics of an analog circuit to perform recording so that the output level of broadcast signals to be AD-converted and recorded does not exceed the dynamic range of AD conversion and eliminating the influence of the characteristics of the analog circuit to reproduce the signals when reproducing the recorded broadcast signals. <P>SOLUTION: When recording the signals, the output level of the signals is adjusted by setting the gain of a recording signal amplification part 13 including the characteristics of an analog signal processing circuit in a recording signal processing part 102 so that the output level of the signals to be output to a recording part 103 does not exceed the dynamic range of an AD conversion part 15, and they are recorded.
