<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion implement for an insertion head which brings a user a very short insertion stage with short intervals of pain, allows release of the insertion head from the insertion implement to expel the stab site from stimulation, and is very easy to use. <P>SOLUTION: The insertion implement comprises a supporting means 6 for supporting an infusion set 12 temporarily on the implement, and a driving means 9 furnished with a spring 8 having driving force for inserting the infusion set 12. The insertion implement can fix the infusion set by the pressure on the supporting means 6 positioned to engage, while it can drive the infusion set to an insertion starting position by the tension of the spring 8. The insertion implement, which starts insertion to separate the infusion set 12 from the supporting means 6, can carry out almost the insertion operation to be free from the supporting means 6.
