<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crown shape retainer maintaining good fluidity of grease and excellent lubricity. <P>SOLUTION: In the crown type retainer 2 provided with a plurality of pocket forming part 16 provided on one end surface 20 in an axial direction of a main part 10 with a predetermined interval kept in a circumference direction and forming pockets 15 for retaining a ball, a hollow part 18 formed between the adjacent pocket forming parts 16, 16 includes an inclined part 40 composed of an inclined surface 40a and an inclined surface 40b from a retainer front surface side end edge of the retainer inner circumference surface 22 over an outer circumference side end edge of a retainer back surface side end surface 21.
