<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of more accurately measuring the intake amount of air in an exhaust emission control system for an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control system for the internal combustion engine is provided with an intake air amount measurement means for measuring an intake amount of air of the internal combustion engine; an exhaust emission control device including a catalyst having at least oxidation ability; a reducing agent feeding means for feeding a reducing agent to the exhaust emission control device; a device temperature detection means for detecting a temperature of at least a part of the exhaust emission control device; an exhaust temperature detection means for detecting temperature of the exhaust gas flowing-in to the exhaust emission control device; a target temperature determination means for determining the target temperature of at least a part of the exhaust emission control device after the reducing agent is fed by the reducing agent feeding means; a reducing agent amount calculation means (S103) for calculating an amount of reducing agent to be fed based on the intake amount of air, the target temperature and the exhaust temperature; and a correction means (S107) for correcting the intake amount of air based on difference of the target temperature and the exhaust temperature detected after feeding the reducing agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
