摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing glucose being a raw material of bio-ethanol, from cellulose chips or paper by using an enzyme, and also show a possibility that the similar technology can be utilized for the enzymatic decomposition of the other biomass such as chitin, etc. SOLUTION: Cellulose saccharification by ruminants is characterized by performing mechanical atomization by mastication and saccharification by the enzyme as advancing simultaneously and repeatedly. Therefore, by using the principle, the milling treatment of the cellulose chips or paper in the presence of the enzymes (cellulase and glucosidase) is performed. Concretely, the treating method of circulating the suspension of the biomass by joining the enzymatic reaction vessel with a wet mill, or using the enzymatic reaction vessel equipped with a mill function is possible.
