PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connection system which has a connecting position assurance retainer including a mechanism for holding a connector. SOLUTION: The connecting position assurance retainer (CPAR) 64 is used for holding each of connectors at a position where they are engaged. The CPAR 64 includes two side-tabs 170 extending from a base portion 171. The side-tab 170 includes a front stop 172 projected upward from the tab and a front bump 176 projected downward from a tip of the tab. When the CPAR 64 is at a final step namely at a LOCKED position, the front stop 172 as a whole, is engaged with or contacts with a CPAR trap. The front bump 176 sits entirely on an arm with a groove and guides from a preliminary step position to the final step position namely the LOCKED position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
