Electrostatic separator and heating system

The separator (1) has a flow channel (3) provided with a channel wall (4) and a channel-inner side (5). An electrode (6) e.g. central electrode, extends into the channel inner side in a flow direction (P). The electrode is provided with an electrode supply (7) for formation of an electric field between the electrode and the channel wall. Mechanical particle rejection units (9) control settlement of the particles of the exhaust gas at the electrode. The particle rejection units are designed as separate thermally induced moving elements (9a). The moving elements are designed as thermally induced moving elements in the form of bimetal that is designed as a drive element and in the form of a hammer or a stopper element. The flow channel is designed as a tubular section of the exhaust gas pipeline.
