A communication unit of this communication terminal is provided to a first device and communicates with an opposite terminal provided to a second device for exchanging a resource with the first device through a supply line. The communication unit has a connection terminal electrically connected to an electrode. The electrode is disposed at an interval from a conductive member, which is formed of at least one of a first conductor included in the supply line and a second conductor electrically connected to the first conductor, and is thereby in electric field coupling with the conductive member. The communication unit is configured to communicate with the opposite terminal by using a signal transmitted with the conductive member as a medium. This communication terminal is formed in light of the reasons and can realize one-to-one communication, even when devices capable of becoming communication means exist in plurality around one device.
