PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device that suppresses deterioration of a position deviation, and wasteful toner consumption by implementing an image position correction making effective use of a detection result of a pre-interrupted test pattern when formation of the test pattern and detection thereof are interrupted.SOLUTION: An image formation device 100 is configured to: implement developing of mutually different colors on a photoreceptor 120; transfer the developed different colors with the developed different colors overlapped on an intermediate transfer belt 130; form a color image; form a test pattern out of an image formation area; detect the test pattern to count the number of the test patterns; set an amount of change in amount of position deviation preliminarily stored in accordance with the counted number of the test patterns at a time when formation of the test pattern and detection thereof are interrupted; calculate the amount of position deviation on the basis of a detection result of the test pattern stored prior to the interruption; and compare the set amount of change with the calculated amount of position deviation to determine whether to make position corrections based on the amount of position deviation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
