PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armrest device of a chair which is designed to stably support an armrest by an armrest post to horizontally move and turn the armrest device, and prevent a load when the armrest is moved from being directly applied to a sliding portion to move the armrest smoothly over an extended period.SOLUTION: An armrest device of a chair includes an armrest post 10 having an upward projection 47 on the top face, an armrest supporting plate 50 supported on the top face of the armrest post 10 relatively movably and relatively turnably in a first direction by fitting the upward projection 55 movably and turnably into a slot 56 facing from left to right which is provided in a guide projection 55, an armrest substrate 51 having an opening 63 and supported by nonturnably fitting the guide projection 55 into that, a holding means 71 having a resistance imparting means for pinching the armrest substrate 51 movably in the first direction and turnably relative to the armrest post 10 and imparting resistance to the turning of the armrest substrate 51, and an arm pad 52 covering the top face of the armrest substrate 51. |
