PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control technique capable of preventing containment of wheel cylinder pressure when switching a control mode. SOLUTION: A separation valve is made in a closed state in a non-control mode, and separates into a first supply passage for supplying working fluid to at least one of a plurality of wheel cylinders and a second supply passage for supplying working fluid to the remaining of the plurality of wheel cylinders. An on-off valve is provided on the first supply passage, and is kept closing resisting to a valve open command due to the action of a pressure difference between an inlet and an outlet when the pressure difference exceeds predetermined pressure during closing of the on-off valve. A brake ECU stops control by a wheel cylinder pressure control system and transfers to the non-control mode for backup when closing failure of the separation valve is predicted during braking, and controls discharge of the working fluid from the wheel cylinder in the first supply passage side to reduce the pressure difference so that the on-off valve is opened in accordance with the valve opening command.
