PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal display device reducing a bias voltage of a TFT in an IPS liquid crystal of an HV inversion driving system. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device having a common electrode and a display electrode in each pixel regulated by gate lines and data lines crossing each other and displaying a desired image according to potential difference between the common electrode and the display electrode, the common electrodes are constituted so that prescribed common electrodes adjacent in a gate line direction may be connected by discrete common lines (C1, C2) to be paired with respective gate lines and the display electrodes are constituted so that respective display electrodes in a data line direction may be connected to either a data line (D1) on the left side or a data line (D2) on the right side of the display electrode in a prescribed order.
