PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a traffic light so as to avoid the occurrence of a collision accident at an intersection.SOLUTION: The positions, speeds, dimensions and moving directions of objects including vehicles and the traffic weak existing within an intersection and approaching the intersection are detected by using radar sensors 12A to 12D. The loci of all of the detected objects are calculated by using the information, and when it is determined that the possibility that objects collide against each other is high, switching of one or more traffic signals 16 is delayed to avoid the collision.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
