PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission device in which barrier layers located above and below a light emission element can be prevented from being cracked.SOLUTION: A light emission device according to an aspect of the present disclosure has a flexible substrate, a lower barrier layer located above the flexible substrate, a first light emission element and a second light emission element located above the lower barrier layer, a first upper barrier layer which is located above the first light emission element and formed of a first inorganic material as a main component, and a second upper barrier layer which is located above the second light emission element and formed of a second inorganic material as a main component.
