PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the collapse of a shape of a corner blade when press-molding a negative-type green compact for cut insert in which a main cutting blade is recessed as separating from the corner blade.SOLUTION: A press molding method of a green compact comprises: a die 11 which has a cross section corresponding to a polygonal face 2 of a green compact 1, and in which a vertically-extending penetration hole 11A is formed; and upper and lower punches 12, 13 which are inserted into the penetration hole 11A of the die 11 so as to be vertically movable while separating from each other and approximating each other. Punch faces 12A, 13A which have polygonal shapes corresponding to the cross section of the penetration hole 11A, and whose side ridges are protruded to an opposite punch side as separating from a corner part are formed at the upper and lower punches 12, 13, and a chamfered part 11C which inclines so as to enlarge the cross section of the penetration hole 11A as progressing toward an upper part is formed at the penetration hole 11A so as to coincide with the side ridge of the punch face 13A of the lower punch 13 when a crossing ridge line 11D between the chamfered part 11C and an internal peripheral face of the penetration hole 11A vertically moves.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
