PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a vehicle which can improve the responsiveness of the vehicle which is imparted to a driver, and an acceleration feeling with the vehicle mounted with a continuously variable transmission as an object.SOLUTION: In a control device of a vehicle which comprises a continuously variable transmission for transmitting an output of a drive force source to a drive shaft side, detects a kick-down operation by which an accelerator opening which is increased and decreased according to an accelerator operation of a driver is abruptly increased, and controls the output and a gear change ratio of the continuously variable transmission so that a required drive force based on the accelerator opening is obtained, when the kick-down operation is detected (step S1), a drive force step for temporarily stagnating a rise of acceleration is generated when the acceleration is generated by increasing an actual drive force of the vehicle to the required drive force by the kick-down operation (step S4), and the output and the gear change ratio are controlled so that the drive force step is generated (steps S5, S6 and S7).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
