PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handy type electric vacuum cleaner which is excellent in operability without making the vacuum cleaner large-sized by housing at a lower rear part of a vacuum cleaner main body in which an electric blower and a dust collecting chamber, and also forming on the top of which a handle part, a roller is provided, and the bearing part of the roller is integrally formed with the vacuum cleaner main body. SOLUTION: When a suction force is generated by driving an electric blower 201 by power from a power source cord 206 by operating an operation switch 104 of a handle part 107 which is formed on the upper surface of a vacuum cleaner main body 101, refuge is collected from a suction port 102 for a floor or the like, and is accumulated in a dust collection bag 210 through a suction port holder 207. For a main body roller 105, a roller bearing 216 which is molded of a flexible resin is attached to a main body case 204 with a roller shaft 214. Also, the main body roller 105 is arranged at a rear part of the main body case 204, and a tilted part 244 is formed on the front part. By this method, the vacuum cleaner main body 101 can be easily moved by rolling the main body roller 105 on a floor surface without lifting the vacuum cleaner main body 101.
