The present disclosure is related to a subtalar anatomic reduction clamp as a proposal for a surgical orthopedic clamp designed to be used as a key tool in the reduction maneuver of the talus over the calcaneus in flatfoot disease Valgus surgical degree (Johnson Strom ll, lll, lV) as well as in other diseases involving the subtalar joint; such as dislocations of the talus and of the calcaneus, fractures-dislocations of the subtalar joint, astragalocalcaneal arthrodesis, ankle arthrodesis, panastragalodesis, inter alia. The clamp has the virtue of being able to have a better control of the bone structures at the time of reduction, fixation and manipulation during the surgical procedure, having a greater precision when closing the calcaneus-talus divergence angle (Kite angle). The anatomic reduction clamp is designed so that the surgeon can be capable to have better control of the surgery, decreasing substantially the risks of a medial ankle neurovascular package injury; being an adapte d anatomical instrument to the bone surfaces of the talus and calcaneus; decrease in surgery times, less trauma of adjacent soft structures, better post-surgical outcome in the short, medium and long term. |
