Information for suppressing the illegal carrying-out of printed object can be printed without depending on the types of printers. When information to be printed is printed on a printed object, a printed image producing apparatus (1), which comprises an application (2), a printer driver (3), a print monitoring means (4) and a virtual driver (5), adds tracking information, which promotes the suppression of carrying-out, to the printed object. The print monitoring means (4) monitors a print request from the application (2). When detecting a print request directed from the application (2) to the printer driver (3), the print monitoring means (4) acquires the print request and interrupts the print request directed to the printer driver (3). When receiving an instruction from the print monitoring means (4), the virtual driver (5) acquires both the information to be printed and the tracking information, and generates tracking printed image information, in which the tracking information is written into the information to be printed, and then transfers the generated tracking printed image information to the printer driver (3).
