PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound pressure calculation method and a device therefor capable of determining a sound pressure in consideration of attenuation of the sound pressure caused by a cut-off effect of surface propagation in a two-dimensional sound ray theory corresponding to an environment wherein a sound velocity profile is changed in the distance direction. SOLUTION: This method has a step for detecting a restricted part of a sound ray propagating in the restricted state in the surface based on information of depth characteristics (Z<SB>ij</SB>, C<SB>ij</SB>) of the sound velocity at a plurality of sample distances r<SB>i</SB>, a step for determining an attenuation quantityαby the cut-off effect in the detected restricted part of the sound ray, a step for determining the first sound pressure at an optional position from the sound ray based on the two-dimensional sound ray theory, and a step for determining the second sound pressure at an optional position based on the first sound pressure and the attenuation quantityα.
