PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new storage chamber of a public facility and a cover structure of a cavity which have such durability as to endure a sufficient load while being lightweight and improve slip resistance to a currently available cover.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a lid for a storage chamber of a public facility made from a fiber-reinforced composite material includes: mixing a resin paste with an unsaturated polyester thermosetting material; blending the resin paste to a fiber-reinforced composite material; ripening the blended fiber-reinforced composite material; cutting the ripened compound into a filling pattern; molding the filling pattern to a mold cavity of the heated mold at low pressure to form a lid; and cooling and machining the lid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
