PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a tool based on flow rate information of an instantaneously measured flow rate to specify the used tool by a limited storage capacity. SOLUTION: This flow measuring instrument is provided with a tool condition determining means 13 for determining using conditions of the tools 10, 11, 12 connected to a downstream of a flow measuring means 14, based on the flow rate information, based on a prescribed determination reference, and is constituted to process the determination of the tool condition determining means 13 in response to a storage volume of a flow rate information storage means 8. Determination precision is thereby enhanced by determining the condition of each tool, even in the case difficult to be determined by only information when varied increasedly or decreasedly, such as the case when the tools are operated at the same time.
