PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling member allowing a contact part to be separated by lubricating oil even in an operating condition where supply of the lubricating oil to the contact part from the outside can not be expected such as an operating condition frequently causing start and stop, rocking motion, or low speed and high load. SOLUTION: A dynamic pressure generation surface having multiple minute dynamic pressure pockets 5 causing dynamic pressure action by presence of lubricating oil is formed on a rolling contact part of this rolling member; lubricating oil storing pockets 4 deeper than the dynamic pressure pockets 5 are made to sprinkle over the dynamic pressure generation surface; a solid lubricating coating 7 is formed on the surface; thereby the lubricating oil is discharged from the deep lubricating oil storing pockets 4 to the dynamic pressure pockets 5 by thermal expansion in starting relative movement to allow a fluid lubricating state to be kept even at a speed without forming a sufficient oil film; and wear is prevented by the solid lubricating coating 7 on the surface even in a state where the lubricating oil film is broken.
