<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a paste type positive electrode plate used for a compact and lightweight sealed lead storage battery with long life. <P>SOLUTION: A paste type active material for a positive electrode is produced by mixing and kneading lead powder wherein lead monoxide is a major component, graphite, tetrabasic lead sulfate, dilute sulfuric acid, and red lead, the paste type active material is coated on a current collector made of a lead alloy, and the paste type positive electrode plate is manufactured by maturing and drying. Here, the graphite with an average particle size of 30 to 50 μm is used in the paste type active material, and the graphite is made included by 0.5 to 2.0% to the lead powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
