PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable simultaneous conversion of proper noun parts in sentences into notation using capital letters, so as to input sentences without the need to switch between capital letters and lower case letters.SOLUTION: A display input device comprises: a display panel that displays an input display column in accordance with a software keyboard; a touch panel part; a storage part that stores dictionary data defining words and their parts of speech; and a control part that recognizes input alphabets, displays the input alphabets in the input display column, determines a proper noun part in the input display column on the basis of the dictionary data, displays conversion candidates including a plurality of conversion candidates in which part or all of the alphabets included in the proper noun part are capitalized on the display panel, and converts the proper noun part in the input display column into a conversion candidate selected from the plurality of conversion candidates.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
