The present invention relates to a mobile terminal (100) for participating in a mobile network and adapted to perform a power consumption sensitive cell reselection. The mobile terminal (100) comprises a detector (120) configured to detect presence of a first possible connection (210) to the mobile network and a second possible connection (220) to the mobile network, the first possible connection (210) being a connection of a first technology and the second possible connection (220) being a connection of a second technology. It furthermore comprises a selector (140) configured to identify which of the first possible connection (210) and the second possible connection (220) causes less energy consumption in the mobile terminal (100) in its low-power mode of operation than the other, and a controller (160) configured to connect the mobile terminal (100) to the mobile network through the identified possible connection. The invention is further related to a corresponding operating method and a corresponding computer program. Also, the present invention is related to a network entity (200) for supporting a mobile terminal (100) in performing a power consumption sensitive cell reselection and a corresponding method and a corresponding computer program.
