PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyvinyl alcohol-based film capable of obtaining a polarizing film excellent in thickness accuracy and polarization characteristics; a polyvinyl alcohol-based film; and a polarizing film.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a polyvinyl alcohol-based film which is obtained by discharging and flow-casting an aqueous solution of a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin onto a rotating cast drum from a T-type slit die to form a film, and continuously drying the film, and has a thickness of 5-40 μm, where an angle θ formed by a lip surface inside of the T-type slit die and a tangent of a landing point of the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin aqueous solution on the cast drum is 10° or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
