A device is provided for securely transferring digital data between at least one first computer system and at least one second computer system, including a controller that connects to at least one data store, a first transfer device connected to the controller and that receives the digital data from the first computer system and sends the data to the controller, a second transfer device connected to the controller and that receives the digital data from the controller and sends the data to the second computer system, and which is managed independently from the first transfer device.
