<p>The ring is assembled of two parts with hinges at one side and a space in the center. The two parts are positioned inside the space, the joining area covered by connecting element, and pressed together with a suitable tool. Microscopic parts of the material of the pipes to be joined usually form a layer on the inner surface of the space after repeated use, resulting in a reduced force acting on the area. The new design of the ring is coated with a balinit composite, PTFE, molybdenum sulfide or a similar substance in order to avoid an accumulation.</p> |
