<p>When a key to be pressed is selected rapidly, the operability is lowered. When motion information is acquired, the service life of the remote controller is reduced. A remote operation system includes a remote controller and an infrared communication device (33). The remote controller has a pattern for reflecting diffracted light by the irradiation light. The infrared communication device (33) includes a transmission/reception unit (37), and a control unit (39). The transmission/reception unit (37) has a light emitting unit (11) for emitting light to the pattern and a light reception unit (17) for receiving the reflected light from the pattern. The control unit (39) includes a detection unit (41) for detecting the light intensity of the light received by the light reception unit (17), a calculation unit (43) for digitizing the detected light intensity according tot he light intensity, and a conversion unit (45) for converting the digitized information into a control signal of a main device.</p> |
