The present invention provides a wireless system and method for mobile handset users, which facilitates the browsing and booking of travel related products whilst also providing a secure payment means. The system securely interfaces directly into a vendor's product database in real-time such that the information displayed on the mobile handset is entirely up-to-date. The system allows the user to book and pay for the product, receiving confirmation thereof, so that the user can be assured that the transaction has occurred. In the method, the user's MSISDN is encrypted at the vendor's server to provide a unique identification used as a primary key. A link is sent to the mobile handset allowing the user to browse the vendor's product catalogue, select a product, pay and receive confirmation. |
