PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer which can prevent an orbit deviation of an electron beam and has an easy production process and provide an image display device with the above spacer. SOLUTION: The image display device is provided with a first substrate with an image display surface, a second substrate which is placed to face the first substrate with a gap and in which a plurality of electron sources which excite the above image display surface are arranged in a predetermined pixel pitches in directions of X and Y each crossing at right angles and a spacer which is placed between the first substrate and the second substrate, keeping a distance between the first substrate and the second substrate.
