<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive inkjet recorder which can draw images of a high image quality regardless of kinds of media to be recorded and produce printed matter at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder has a conveying means which conveys the medium to be recorded, an undercoat liquid applying means which applies an undercoat liquid to the medium conveyed by the conveying means, and an image forming means which is arranged downstream of the undercoat liquid applying means in a conveyance direction of the medium and has an inkjet head that forms the image to the medium with the undercoat liquid applied thereto by ejecting an ink including at least a color material. The undercoat liquid applying means has a coating roller which applies the undercoat liquid to the medium, and a driving part which rotates the coating roller in a reverse direction to the direction in which the conveying means conveys the medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
