PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a foreign substance generated at a pump from mixing with an ink. SOLUTION: The ink cartridge 20 includes an ink pack 22 and a housing 21 that holds the ink pack 22. The ink pack 22 has an ink pack body 24 and an extension part 25 which extends from a lower end of the ink pack body 24 towards a discharge port 23 formed in the housing 21. A pressing mechanism 30 which presses the extension part 25 is prepared in the housing 21 so that the ink of the ink pack 22 is forcibly discharged from the discharge port 23.
