摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of discharging a liquid matter by which the variation of the total discharge amount of the liquid matter discharged for every pixel area is suppressed, and to provide a method of manufacturing a color filter, a method of manufacturing an organic EL element and a method of manufacturing an electro-optical device by using the method of discharging the liquid matter. SOLUTION: The method of discharging the liquid matter comprises: an operation process of calculating the total discharge amount of the liquid matter discharged in pixel areas arranged in the vertical scanning direction based on nozzle information indicating a discharge amount of drops discharged by every plurality of nozzles and arrangement information for arranging the drops by performing plurality of times of main scanning accompanied by the vertical scanning to the same pixel area; a filter setting process as a process of calculating a fluctuation period of the total discharge amount in the vertical scanning direction; a compensation process for compensating the arrangement information so that the number of drops delivered in the pixel areas located in the fluctuation period fluctuates within a predetermined range including a setting value in the vertical scanning direction; and a discharge process of discharging the drops based on the compensated arrangement information.
