<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a membrane-electrode-gas diffusion layer-gasket assembly sufficiently excellent in power generation characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the membrane-electrode-gas diffusion layer-gasket assembly 30 has a cathode sealing process wherein a cathode side gasket 6 is arranged on the end faces of a cathode side gas diffusion layer 4 and a cathode catalyst layer 2, and an anode sealing process wherein an anode side gasket 7 is arranged on the end faces of an anode side gas diffusion layer 5 and an anode catalyst layer 3, of a membrane-electrode-gas diffusion layer assembly 20. When the thickness of the cathode side gasket 6 used in the cathode sealing step is C1, the thickness of the cathode catalyst layer 2 is A1, and the thickness of the cathode side gas diffusion layer 4 is B1, the manufacturing method satisfies relation (1): (A1+B1)/C1≥1.2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
