<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a liquefied fuel oil using a biomass as a raw material and using a relatively inexpensive liquefaction treatment apparatus, which keeps a balance between liquefaction of the water-insoluble lignin and liquefaction of the water-soluble cellulose, provides a high yield of the liquefied fuel oil relative to the solid content of the biomass, and provides a small amount of ash originated from an alkaline catalyst or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises adding a solvent 2, which contains an organic solvent and whose water content is so adjusted as to become 10-25 wt.% including water contained in the biomass, to a biomass 7 containing lignocellulose, and conducting a liquefaction treatment at a temperature of 250-350°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
