PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power consumption in a shift register circuit system.

SOLUTION: The shift register circuit system includes a shift register circuit section 40 and an output circuit section 32. The voltage amplitude (VH1-VL) of the input signal of the shift register circuit section 40 is set smaller than the voltage amplitude (VH2-VL) of the output circuit section 32 by appropriately setting: the magnitude of respective capacitances of a capacitance element of the poststage included in a boot-strapping circuit 26 of the shift register circuit section 40, a gate capacitance 27 of a transistor in the output circuit section 32 and a parasitic capacitance hanging down from a signal line connecting the capacitance element of the poststage and the output circuit section 32; and the threshold of the transistor of the output circuit section 32.
