PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum pump capable of suppressing a replacement frequency of a vane.SOLUTION: A vacuum pump includes a rotor 72 having a plurality of vanes 73, and a body having a cylinder 61 storing the rotor 72. A cylinder 61 is connected to a body inlet 20 for taking air, and includes an inlet side communication hole 62a for taking the air into the cylinder 61, and an outlet side communication hole 64 for discharging the air from the inside of the cylinder 61. The inlet side communication hole 62a is a long hole communicated with at least a part of the body inlet 20 and extended to a direction opposite from a rotation direction of the rotor 72 at least with respect to the body inlet 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
