This distance measurement device includes: a detection unit for detecting change affecting the device; an optical-path formation unit which forms a common optical path, an optical path for reflected light, and an optical path for directional light; a common suppression unit which is provided to the common optical path, suppresses, on the basis of the detection results from the detection unit, the effect of change in the optical axis of an image-forming optical system, and suppresses, on the basis of the detection results from the detection unit, change in the optical axis of the directional light; a supplementary suppression unit which supplementarily suppresses change in the optical axis of the directional light, and/or the effect of change in the optical axis of the image-forming optical system; and a control unit which, in cases when the common suppression unit and the supplementary suppression unit are operated simultaneously, subjects the common suppression unit and the supplementary suppression unit to control in which change in the directional light irradiation position in a subject image received by a light-reception unit is suppressed. |
