PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply system that has a fault tolerant mechanism enabling retract traveling of a vehicle in a limp-home mode even if failure of an opening/closing operation of a flow regulating valve device, etc. occurs.SOLUTION: A fuel supply system includes a flow suction route leading from a fuel supply source 70 through a flow regulating valve device 40 to a compression chamber 12; and a fuel suction route passing through a suction check valve 50. Therefore, even if closing fixation failure of a rotary valve 41 of the flow regulating valve device 40 occurs and thus the fuel suction route passing through the flow regulating valve device 40 is blocked, fuel can be sucked into the compression chamber 12 through the suction check valve 50. A relief check valve 87 is provided in the middle of a discharge passage 86 that connects a common rail 81 to a fuel tank 71. Due to this structure, even if common rail pressure becomes abnormally high, the abnormally high pressure fuel in the common rail 81 is discharged through the relief check valve 87 to the fuel tank 71, so as to enable reduction in the common rail pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
