PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for culturing 1,4-dioxane-degrading microorganisms excellent in 1,4-dioxane-degrading activity without using 1,4-dioxane.SOLUTION: Provided herein is a method for culturing a microorganism having 1,4-dioxane-degrading activity comprising a step of culturing a microorganism in the absence of 1,4-dioxane but in the presence of phosphate ion and magnesium ion. In this method, the step is preferably carried out in the presence of one or more metal ions selected from manganese ion, iron ion, cobalt ion and zinc ion.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
