PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel control device capable of accurately avoiding a state in which a vehicle becomes unstable.SOLUTION: A travel control device 1 includes a radio communication part 20, a calculation part 21, an engine control part 12 and a brake control part 13. The radio communication part 20 receives road surface related information relating to road surface conditions collected by a preceding vehicle 2B. The calculation part 21 calculates a limit speed at which a possibility that an own vehicle 2A shifts from a stable travel state to an unstable travel state becomes high on the basis of the road surface related information received by the radio communication part 20. The engine control part 12 and/or the brake control part 13 limit the output of an engine 3, and/or operates a brake 4 to control the travel speed of the own vehicle 2A to a speed less than the limit speed calculated by the calculation part 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
