<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance sterilizing effect on a container by a sterilizing agent and enhance residue prevention effect of the sterilizing agent. <P>SOLUTION: An object to be sterilized is sterilized by a sterilizing process with a plurality of steps for sequentially contacting a plurality of kinds of the sterilizing agents (a, e) with the object (1) to be sterilized and a process for removing the sterilizing agents from the object to be sterilized. Temperature, concentration, contact time or the like of the sterilizing agents are reduced and simultaneously the sterilizing effect is synergistically increased.
