PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein modifications to the shape and material of an ice tray for improved deicing and normal and reverse rotations of the ice tray for deicing using two stoppers result in a complicated ice tray shape, control method and mechanism. SOLUTION: An automatic icemaker has an ice tray deformable for deicing, an ice tray support frame 3 supporting rotary shafts of the ice tray, a frame support part 4 supporting one end of a rotary shaft of the ice tray support frame, a drive device for supporting and rotating the other end of the ice tray support frame, a control part 7 for controlling the drive device, and a stopper on the frame support part for twistingly deforming one end of the ice tray, and has the rotary shaft center of the drive device and the rotary shaft center of the ice tray arranged in parallel positions spaced by a predetermined distance.
