PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein the number of boards connecting a control device, a light emitting element and a liquid crystal display panel is reduced. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 1 is provided with a flexible board 5 having a wiring pattern formed on one surface 5a thereof. A first terminal 5b connected to the control device 12 is provided at one end of the surface 5a and a circuit mounting member 11, a second terminal 5c connected to the liquid crystal display panel 2 and a light emitting diode 7 are sequentially provided from the one end toward the other end and the light emitting diode 7 is provided at the end part on the side opposite to the end part at which the first terminal 5b is provided. A part between the second terminal 5c and the light emitting diode 7 of the flexible board 5 is bent so that the surface 5a on which the wiring pattern is formed is turned to the outer side and a fixing surface 7b of the light emitting diode 7 is fixed to a prescribed position of a casing 10.
